Bernadette Petrillo
Introducing: Bernadette, our resident nonna and wife of Beniamino Petrillo. Her love for Italy and our estate began over 50 years ago when she met Beniamino.
She enjoys spending summers with her family and friends in Montemilleto, where she can share her love of cooking, growing vegetables and herbs and the Dolce Vita of southern Italy.

Federico (Rico) Petrillo
Masseria Rosella is a multi-generational project – born out of a deep connection with the southern Italian region of Irpinia.
My earliest childhood memories are of Masseria Rosella: playing football with my cousins, riding in the fields on my Nonno’s tractor or eating my grandmother’s warm, fresh bread straight from the oven, drizzled with our olive oil, salt and a few fresh tomatoes.
We want to share this feeling of family and home with you.

Sandra Petrillo
I spent the summers of my childhood and youth in Montemiletto with my family and friends! Water fights on the masseria, watching Nonna make fresh pasta, il Agosto Momtemilettese with dancing, singing and lots of festival stands, these are just a few of the many great memories I still have of this most wonderful place on earth!
It was all there, we wanted for nothing and that’s exactly what we want to share with you!

Antonio Del Genio
Hello, my name is Antonio Del Genio. Born in Italy, I moved to Switzerland with my parents when I was nine months old. This is where I found my home.
Although I love Switzerland, I long for my roots.
My heart yearned for the olive groves, the old stone houses and the scent of basil and tomatoes.
So today I am a man who walks between two worlds – with one foot in Switzerland and the other in Italy. Perhaps one day I will live under the Italian sky and explore my past even more deeply.
Masseria Rosella and the Petrillo family have allowed me to be a part of my Italian heritage. I am grateful for this connection.

Käthi Del Genio
Ciao! I am Käthi Del Genio, my love for Italy began in my youth.
It was my sister Bernadette who married a charming Italian called Beniamino Petrillo – a guest worker from Montemiletto.
During the school holidays, I was often allowed to travel to Montemiletto with my sister, and that’s how my enthusiasm for the Masseria Rosella and its warm inhabitants was born.
Later, when I married my husband Antonio from the same region as Beniamino, my love for the Irpinia deepened even further. And now, with the connection to Masseria Rosella, a long held dream has come true.

Amanda Nicholas Petrillo
Kiaora, I’m Amanda and I’m originally from New Zealand. I have been part of the Petrillo family since 1999 when I met Rico in London.
We have created many memories at the masseria, from our wedding under many fairy lights and candles on long white tables on the Aia (used for grain harvesting and the threshing of wheat and corn) to annual holidays with our children.
The sense of calm and serenity that immediately surrounds you on arrival helps us to relax quickly.
It has been a privilege to work on this interior design project of the newly renovated farmhouse to create a relaxing and welcoming home and I look forward to continuing this as the project nears completion. Using local craftsmen and products as much as possible is an integral part of the project.
I am also working on the marketing of Masseria Rosella, mainly creating content for social media and the website. I look forward to continuing to discover local artisans and designers, local culture and of course food and wine producers and sharing with you an insight into true southern Italian hospitality.
